Students are taught both the flash and manual techniques
of thermolysis, as well as galvanic, multiple needle
and blend modalities. These modalities have stood
the test of time for cost, safety and efficacy.

Equipment:
Students have access to ultra-modern training labs
equipped with a variety of components. This promotes
a greater understanding of the types of Electrology
hardware that is currently available. For example,
only the most modern sterilization, lighting and
magnification equipment is used as well as analog
and digital designed epilators.
Length
of Course:
A total of 1100 hours of study
is required in Massachusetts and New Hampshire in
order to qualify for the licensing examination.
This exam is administered twice yearly by the Division
of Registration of Electrologists in Massachusetts,
and twice yearly by the Department of Health and
Human Services in Concord, New Hampshire. The 1100
hours are broken down into two categories:
500 hours
– theory
600 hours - clinical
Students who wish to practice
in states, which do not have the mandatory 1100
hours, may take the 600-hour course. In Connecticut,
the Department of Health and Human Services administers
the exam twice yearly. The 600 hours are broken
down into two categories:
200 hours
- theory
400 hours – clinical
Additional hours may be contracted
by the students who need to fulfill various licensing
requirements. Full time and part time schedules
are available. Full time schedule runs 20-31 hours
per week and part-time is anywhere from 12-19 hours
per week.
