Many States have continuing education requirements mandatory for relicensure. The Institute holds seminars to assist in fulfilling these requirements. Classes usually run for three hours @ $30.00 per module hour. Following are some workshops available:
  
  

Sterilization    3 hours  (FULFILLS COMPLETE STATE REQUIREMENT)

Changes in AEA sterilization standards as of 2007.  New information regarding proper ultrasonic cleaning protocol, believe it or not there are variables to be considered when cleaning instruments in your ultrasonic, also, repair and new products which will help in upkeep of your instruments and equipment.

Proper Positioning Techniques
  
3 hours

A slide presentation of proper and comfortable positioning so that
effective results-oriented treatments can be delivered and achieved.  The benefits of practicing the
Alexander Technique of relaxation/posture
will be demonstrated.  This technique has helped many professionals
in various disciplines achieve endurance in their work.

Blend & Galvanic Hair Removal Theory   4 hours

For skin preparation and post treatments- includes negative and positive polarities used with skin
products, how to check for the correct polarity of products to be used with either negative or
positive phoresis.  Some of these techniques have produced amazing results for our clients.
Includes demonstration
Complete concept of combination-of-currents modality.  Explanation of
Units of Lye Chart as it applies to traditional analog blend epilators as well as how it relates to new programmable digital design epilators.  Explanation of two blend techniques, continuous and
pulsating blends.  Variables in probe selection for blend modality, as well as, areas where the blend
method should be the modality of choice.  Includes demonstration

Eyebrow Shaping

Proper eyebrow shaping with tips and technique.  Rachel Peterson, Instructor at EINE will demonstrate proper position of equipment, client and technician.  The proper eyebrow shape based on facial features and structure and tips on correcting and grooming eyebrows. 

Includes demonstration and hands on training.

Laser Physics
    
3 hours
Be able to relate the fundamentals of basic theory into a practical understanding of the use of electrolysis/esthetics laser equipment and the application of laser systems to human tissue.  Prepare the Electrologist/Esthetician in training for the further understanding of the choice of laser equipment & knowledgeable clinical procedures on a client.    Arm the trainee with the capability of asking the “right” questions of an equipment provider, plus the ability to probe, in depth, about the
documented voracity of the equipment & its performance capabilities in various real-world patient applications.

A nonsurgical aesthetic procedure using tiny crystals to exfoliate the skin Overall history of the microdermabrasion, defining what the “microdermabrasion” process entails, as well as, benefits of Light Emitting Diodes (LED) light therapy. What are the indications versus contraindications for microdermabrasion and importance of using the proper protocol and techniques.
